January 10, 1946 - January 30, 2007
Renee Kay Van Zee, daughter of Andrew and Clara Van Dyk Rooda, was born January 10, 1946, in Vrouwen Parochie, Friesland, Netherlands. After a lengthy illness, she passed away at her residence on January 30, 2007, at the age of sixty-one years.
On August 23, 1968, Renee was united in marriage with Albert Van Zee at the First Christian Reformed Church in Pella. To this union two daughters joined the family, Leanna and Julie.
Renee was employed at the Overall Factory in Pella, Pella Rolscreen Company, drove a school bus for Pella Christian Schools, and most recently work ten years in the kitchen at the Christian Opportunity Center in Pella.
She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Pella where she was active in the Ladies Aid Society and sang in the choir. She was also involved with Vacation Bible School as a helper and led the singing. She sang at congregate meals and the nursing home. Renee enjoyed trees, flowers, gardening, feeding birds, the outdoors, and singing.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Albert; her two daughters: Leanna Van Zee of Otley and Julie Van Zee of Des Moines; two brothers: Stan Rooda of Newton and Henry Rooda of Otley.
Those preceding her in death are: her parents; and one brother, Gerrit Rooda.
Renee will be missed by her family and her many friends.
