Rosemary Dahm
Pella, Iowa
(Age 66)

February 21, 1944 - September 12, 2010

Rosemary Dahm, daughter of Cornie and Tena Bandstra Dahm, was born on February 21, 1944, in New Sharon, Iowa.  Rosemary passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at the Pella Regional Health Center at the age of sixty-six.

Rosemary was baptized in the Peoria Christian Reformed Church.  She attended the Peoria Christian Grade School and the Pella Christian High School.  Rosemary graduated from Dordt College with a degree in elementary education in 1965.  She taught in many different schools, including: the Peoria Christian School, as well as schools in Forest City, Arkansas; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Prairie City, Iowa.  Rosemary also worked at the Hilltop Manor in Pella, and later cared for many elderly patients in their homes.

After her father's death in 1995, Rosemary was the sole caregiver for her mother until her mother's death in 1997.

Rosemary enjoyed her role as the literature co-chair person for the Central Iowa Bible League.  She shared this position with her dear friend Gretta Veenstra.  She also led the Bible study for the Peoria Bible Searchers Society for many years. She attended the Peoria Christian Reformed Church whenever her health permitted, and she will be remembered by many as a true prayer warrior.  Rosemary was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was very knowledgeable about family history.

Rosemary is survived by: her brother, Marvin Lowell and Linda Dahm of New Sharon; her sister, Carmen Lou and Frank Reitsma of New Sharon; eight nieces and nephews; and ten great-nieces and nephews.
