Elizabeth (Nikkel)Vander Weerdt passed peacefully to her Heavenly Home on Sunday evening, December 18, 2011, at the Pella Regional Health Center after being transported that afternoon from Fair Haven East in Pella.

Elizabeth was born April 28, 1921, on a farm near Sully, Iowa, to the late Marcellas and Annie (Baarda) Nikkel. She had nine siblings. She graduated from the Sully Christian School.

Most of all she cherished attending church services and Bible studies, and recently completed ten years of working with Crossroads Bible Institute. She and her sister, Cornelia, enjoyed playing their harmonicas together. John and Elizabeth moved to Fair Haven in Pella in 1997. John preceded her in death in 2001.
