Richard Glenn Litwiller was born on September 5, 1940, to Glenn Edward and Ethel Pearl Miller Litwiller in Manson, Iowa. He passed away Sunday evening, December 23, 2012 at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House at the age of seventy-two.
He received his early education in the Manson Schools and graduated in 1959 from Manson High School. On May 4, 1963, he was united in marriage with Sharon Wentorf in Fort Dodge, Iowa. They were blessed with two children: Dale and Debra.
The family previously lived in Kansas and Arizona. More recently Richard worked for Honeywell Computers in Phoenix, Arizona.
Richard was a member of the Church of Christ in Manson, Iowa. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors and visiting relatives in their homes.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife of forty-nine years, Sharon of Pella; his two children and their spouses: Dale and Sally Litwiller of Peoria, Arizona and Debra and John McMaster of Cochranton, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Timothy Litwiller, Jacob McMaster, and Noah McMaster; mother, Ethel Litwiller of Manson, Iowa; brothers: Roger Litwiller of Leighton, Iowa, Robert (Carolyn) Litwiller of Rockwell City, Iowa, Ronald (Karen) Litwiller of Albany, Oregon, and Merlin (Cindy) Litwiller of Fort Dodge, Iowa; brother-in-law, Dale (Leanne) Wertorf of Goshen, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Litwiller.
