Dwayne Bruinekool, age seventy-six, entered into Heaven at noon on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Serenity House in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was born April 3 1937, to Nina (Grover) and Arthur Bruinekool in Pella, Iowa.  Arthur later was united in marriage with Sophia Lautenbach, giving Dwayne a special mother. He attended school in Pella.

Dwayne married Marcie (Sally) Van Zante, December 27, 1960, in Sully, Iowa. To this union two children were born: Brenda and Todd.

At an early age, Dwayne worked for the Pella Canning Factory, Breen and Bloodsworth, Pella Ford garage as a body technician, and Rube Van Dillian. After marriage he and Sally moved to St. Paul Minnesota and later made their home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He worked for Johnson Well Screen as a machinist in the nuclear division of the United States government. In 1968 Dwayne returned to Iowa to take over the family well drilling business, keeping it in the family for a hundred years, he retired in 2002.

Dwayne was very active. When he wasn't busy working or with family, he loved riding his Harley, taking trips with Sally all over the United States and Canada. Later buying his 2011 Mustang and riding with the top down, camping with family including his special nephew, Virgil). Dwayne loved life.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pella, a member of the National Water Well Association, was a life time member of the Harley Owners Group, where he served as the safety director in the Ottumwa HOG chapter, and was a member of the southeastern Mustang Club.

Dwayne is survived by the love of his life, Sally; his children: Brenda (Kim) Shepard of Ottumwa and Todd (Francine) Bruinekool of Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan, sisters-in-law, Myra and Marylin; and many nieces and nephews.
